Fair Work Commission
Peter Hampton is a Deputy President in the Fair Work Commission based in Adelaide, having been appointed as a Commissioner in January 2010 and elevated to Deputy President in October 2022. In this capacity he is also a Member of the Expert Panel for Annual Wage Reviews which is responsible for setting minimum and award wages in Australia, and hears matters in all of the jurisdictions handled by the Commission.
Peter was appointed by the President as Panel Head/National Practice Leader for the new anti-bullying jurisdiction in November 2013 and continued in that role until 2020. He is now the National Practice Leader of the Commission’s Collaborative Workplaces jurisdiction that utilises interest-based dispute resolution and bargaining processes and is a member of the Commission’s Rules and Professional Development committees.
Peter's interests include “spoiling” grandchildren and maintaining and riding motorcycles of various vintages.
