ABOUT THE IRSQ
The IRSQ has over 400 industrial relations professionals as members including academics, state and federal government IR and HR practitioners, union officials, lawyers, students, advocates and tribunal members.
The IRSQ exists to provide members with opportunities to network, learn and develop skills as industrial relations practitioners.
Membership benefits at a glance:
- Stay informed of current developments in industrial relations, both national and international through quarterly publication of the “Journal of Industrial Relations”, together with the Society’s regular newsletter the “IR Advocate”.
- The Society hosts activities for members and invited guests. These include information seminars and conferences featuring guest speakers on topics of interest to the industrial relations fraternity.
- The Society provides an ideal forum to meet others who are active participants in the field or whom have a major interest in the area.
- The Society’s Management Committee meets monthly to discuss activities of the Society, as well as general industrial relations and membership matters. The Committee is made up of representatives from private practice, government, unions, employer organisations, the tertiary sector and the legal fraternity.
